The Hammer of Elandria is one of the last surviving relics forged during the First War, when the gods still walked among mortals to stand against Taelkor. As a weapon of divine light and moral clarity, it bears the unmistakable touch of Elandria's hand.
The warhammer's head resembles a radiant sunburst, sculpted from consecrated sunsteel that never tarnishes. Intricate, spiraling sigils written in the forgotten script of the Builders glow softly along its haft, resonating only for those who have passed the Trials of Light. The grip is wrapped in pale leather, embroidered with golden thread, and at its pommel hangs a small sunburst charm.
When raised, the Hammer emits a warm, steady glow that banishes shadow and deception. In battle, that glow intensifies into lances of searing radiance, burning with the resolve of its wielder. It is not merely a weapon, it is a verdict rendered in divine steel.
It is one of only three relics that remain from the First War: the Hammer of Elandria, the Ring of Silver Water, and the Crown of Judgement.
Mechanics
Rarity: Legendary (requires attunement by a paladin who has passed the Trials of Light)
A warhammer bearing the properties of a holy avenger: a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls, an extra 2d10 radiant damage to fiends and undead, and, while you hold it, advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects for you and your allies within 10 feet.
Attunement can only be completed at the First Shrine in Solaris. What the hammer grants beyond that depends on the choices the wielder makes during the Trials. Dravencoles passed his in Session 34 - Ashes and Radiance and holds these three.
Sanctuary (action, once per long rest). Cast Sanctuary, without expending a spell slot.
Enhanced Divine Sense (passive). When you use Divine Sense, you also learn whether a creature within range is hiding a great guilt, secret, or moral conflict.
Shield of Sacrifice (reaction, once per long rest). When an ally within 20 feet drops to 0 hit points, you immediately move to them and take the damage instead.
Story
In Session 34 - Ashes and Radiance, Dravencoles wielded the Hammer for the first time in the corrupted crypts beneath the Grand Cathedral, destroying a powerful wight in an explosion of radiant light. Drawn to the altar, he vanished and completed the Trials of Light, attuning to the Hammer through three tests of moral conviction.
In Session 35 - The Hammer's Call, Dravencoles returned from the Trials and wielded the fully attuned Hammer to annihilate a wave of undead pouring through the crypts, its radiant light scouring the corruption from the chamber.
