The Crown of Judgment was forged in the twilight years of the First War, in the imperial city of Khasim's Crown, by the High Magisters of ancient Khalad, a kingdom of emperors and magisters, of which the modern senatorial city is only the surviving bones. It is a diadem of sight and memory, meant for one who could pierce the veil between past, present, and possibility.

The crown itself is delicate in appearance but impossibly durable. Forged of silver-gold electrum and inlaid with a lattice of sapphire and obsidian, its design resembles an open eye encircled by coiling threads of fate. Thin lines of starmetal arc along its frame like constellations, and when worn by the attuned, the stones subtly shift color, responding not to light, but to thought and revelation.

The crown is one of the three remaining relics of the First War, along with the Hammer of Elandria and the Ring of Silver Water.

Mechanics

Rarity: Artifact (requires attunement)

Attunement can only be completed at Khasim's Crown, and only by a diviner. Every attuned wearer can reach the Temple of Seers and reshape the crown. The rest depends on the choices they make during the attunement. Lirielle completed hers in Session 46 - The Trial of Seers and holds the three trial powers below.

Temple of Seers (action, once per long rest). You and any willing creatures within 30 feet are drawn into the Temple of Seers, the still pocket realm at the end of the crown's trial. Nothing in the world can reach you there. You can return the party at will, and each creature reappears in the space it left.

Change Form (out of combat, while not casting or concentrating). The crown reshapes into any other worn object of roughly its size: a circlet, a necklace, a hat, a pin. Its powers work the same in any form.

The following are once per long rest each.

Sense the Dying (bonus action). Choose one creature within 60 feet that is currently making death saving throws. It immediately rolls its next death saving throw, but the result does not take effect until the start of its next turn. You are the only one who knows the result.

Memory Ward (action). Cast Modify Memory, without expending a spell slot.

Foretold Reprieve (bonus action). Choose a willing creature you can see within 60 feet (including yourself) and one kind of saving throw. That creature immediately rolls that save and you learn the total. The next time it makes that kind of save before your next long rest, it may use the foreseen total in place of rolling. The foreseen total is fixed and cannot be changed by advantage, disadvantage, or any bonus or penalty.

Notes

The party tracked the crown from Duskwatch Keep to Khasim's Crown and reached it through the dungeon beneath Shahzir's Library. Lirielle sat Shahzir's throne in Session 46 - The Trial of Seers, vanished into the crown's trial, and woke fully attuned when the Cyclops Oracle broke.
