Obsidian Vipers are the light infantry of the Obsidian Army of Lusteris: skirmishers in black scale-lacquered leather who fight with short blades and bows and are trained to move faster than anything wearing plate. Vipers ride ahead of columns, run down raiders, and hold the edges of the city's patrols against Sandwalkers in the open desert.
