Description
Neris Dunesong is a quiet Khaladi apothecary with storm-grey eyes and fingers permanently stained green-amber from the resins she works with. She wears layered cream-and-rust robes embroidered with desert-night sigils, sleeves rolled, and ties small clay vials and dried sprigs of herbs to a sash at her waist. Her dark hair is wrapped in a soft headscarf.
Personality
Contemplative and economical with words. Neris asks more questions than she answers and will not sell a remedy until she is satisfied she understands what the buyer actually needs. She has a deep, almost reverent patience for plants and a faintly cooler regard for people, though those who earn her trust find her loyal beyond reason.
Background
Neris runs Dunesong Apothecary in the Khasim's Crown shopping district, a narrow shop heavy with the smell of resin and crushed leaves. Her stock — cooling draughts, antitoxins, poultices, undead-ward incense — is built from herbs she gathers herself in the Deadlands under moonlight, when the sun's heat hasn't burned the alchemical virtue out of them. The Dunesong line of incense has become a quiet staple of Sirocco Warden field kits; what the city calls "Neris's smoke" hangs faintly in every patrol post on the dome's inner edge.
